CANCUN -- As health-insurance costs rise and more Americans lose or get priced out of comprehensive benefits, an increasing number of patients are heading south of the border in pursuit of low-cost, high-quality medical and dental care.
While exact figures are hard to come by, the trend of Americans seeking non-emergency treatment abroad appears to be rising as more people become uninsured or have to contend with large upfront costs of high-deductible health plans.
But soon Americans seeking health care across the border can call on MedSolution.com to help them find excellent quality and care in the tourist paradise of Cancun, Mexico.
"In a month or so we expect to finalize a partnership with a hospital in Cancun offering superb care, equal to if not better than that of many hospitals in North America," said John Knox, spokesperson for MedSolution.com. "Americans should know they don’t have to go bankrupt to get good health care."
Dental tourism in particular is a growing market as seniors learn that Medicare doesn't cover dental work. That is why the folks at MedSolution.com are working vigorously to get their partnership deal finalized with the hospital in Mexico so that they can start helping patients book appointments.
Older "snowbirds" that live part of the year near the Mexican border sometimes cross it when they need expensive dental work such as crowns, bridges and partial or full dentures, said Dr. Michael Stuart, a dentist in Mesquite, Texas.
The savings in medical and dental work that MedSolution.com can offer are anywhere from 50% to 75%. MedSolution.com also offers excellent dental care at their partner hospital in Turkey, and they will also soon offer services in Poland too.
MedSolution.com has fielded over 500 earlybird inquiries about dental services in Mexico, and they hope to start taking appointments within the next two months.
