The weather for Paris during the summer is usually warm and dry. July and August are the hottest months.
Springtime is a wonderful time to visit, with pleasant temperatures. However, it can be wet at times with May having the most rainfall.
In autumn, temperatures are pleasant. Also, the vibrant shades of trees lining the boulevards add a new dimension to the city's beauty.
During the winter months it can get quite cold in Paris. December - February are the coldest months with temperatures around 3ºC / 37ºF. However, Paris is rarely freezing cold.
The south of France has a warm Mediterranean climate with hot summers and mild winters. Strong winds, known as “la Mistral”, can occur in the Cote d'Azur, Provence and in the Rhone valley, particularly over the winter and spring.
